Date operation combined with time zone

problem

You have an arrangement for 2012 year 12 month 21 Day in the morning 9:30 The conference call , It's in Chicago . And your friend is in Bangalore, India , What time should he attend the meeting at local time ?

solution

For almost all the time zone issues , You should use pytz modular . This package provides Olson Time Zone Database , It's the de facto standard for time zone information , You can find it in many languages and operating systems .

pytz One of the main uses of modules is to make datetime Localization of simple date objects created by Library . such as , Here's an example of how to represent Chicago time :
